★★★★★
The difference is night and day. I had been waiting weeks for a GP appointment on the NHS — at Ready Health I was seen the same week, and the clinician actually listened. The membership has more than paid for itself.

We signed up to the Family plan when our youngest started nursery. Knowing we can get the kids seen the same day for anything urgent has been a complete game-changer for us as parents — and the WhatsApp service is brilliant.

What I value most is seeing the same clinician every time. They know my history, my medication, and they treat me like a person rather than a number on a list. That's worth every penny.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about membership.

Still have questions? Call us on 01257 676 001, or book a call with our practice manager Gemma.

What is a Ready Health membership?

A Ready Health membership is a healthcare subscription giving you priority access to our private clinic in Standish, Wigan. Members benefit from a set number of GP appointments per year, free new patient medicals, included blood tests (Standard plan and above), member discounts on all clinic services, and faster booking — without NHS waiting lists or PAYG price uncertainty.

How much does a Ready Health membership cost?

There are four plans: Basic at £39 per month, Standard at £69, Premium at £89, and Family at £199. You can choose to pay monthly (12-month minimum commitment) or pay 12 months upfront for immediate access to your annual benefits.

How many GP appointments do I get with each plan?

Basic includes 6 × 15-minute GP appointments per year. Standard includes 10. Premium includes 14. Family includes 28 appointments shared across the household.

All appointments can be face-to-face, telephone or video — and they can be combined for longer consultations if you need more than 15 minutes.

What discounts do members get?

Basic members receive 5% off all medical procedures and blood tests, Standard members 10%, and both Premium and Family members 20%. Discounts apply across our entire price list — joint injections, vaccinations, weight-loss treatments, aesthetics, blood test packages and more.

Are blood tests included with membership?

Standard plan includes baseline blood tests covering Full Blood Count, Kidney Profile, Liver Profile, Cholesterol Profile and HbA1c.

Premium and Family plans include comprehensive blood tests covering all of the above plus Ferritin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Vitamin D, Bone Profile and urine dipstick testing — repeated annually as part of your yearly health check.

Is the new patient medical free?

Yes. Every plan includes a free new patient medical with a doctor — covering height, weight, BMI, heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen, blood pressure, and a full systemic exam of the heart, lungs, abdomen and central nervous system.

The duration scales with the plan: 15 minutes on Basic, 30 minutes on Standard (including a baseline bloods review), and a 45-minute follow-up on Premium and Family covering a more comprehensive physical and a full review of your blood test results. The Family plan includes the 45-minute follow-up for up to two parents.

How quickly can I see a clinician?

Basic members are guaranteed appointments within 48 hours. Standard members within 24 hours. Premium and Family members have access to same-day appointments where clinically appropriate.

Is there a WhatsApp service for members?

Yes — included on Premium and Family plans. Members get access to our WhatsApp messaging service for prompt clinical advice 7 days a week, Monday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm. It's the fastest way to get a quick clinical question answered without booking a full appointment.

Are home visits available?

Premium and Family members receive one free home visit per year. If unused, this can be converted into four additional 15-minute appointments instead — face-to-face, telephone or video, and combinable for longer consultations.

What does the Family plan cover?

The Family plan covers two adults plus all children under 18 under a single £199/month fee. It includes 28 shared 15-minute GP appointments per year, free new patient medicals for up to two parents, comprehensive blood tests for both parents, one free home visit, free sick notes, and the WhatsApp clinical advice service 7 days a week.

Can I cancel my membership?

All Ready Health memberships run for a minimum of 12 months. If a membership is ended early, any services already used will be recalculated at standard pay-as-you-go rates. Any outstanding balance will become payable, and where applicable overpayments will be adjusted accordingly.

Do I have to be a member to use Ready Health?

Not at all. Every service we offer is available on a pay-as-you-go basis. Membership is for patients who want priority access, included appointments and tests, and member-only savings — but you're welcome to book a one-off appointment any time.

If you'd like to try us first, see our full price list or book a single appointment.

Is Ready Health regulated?

Yes. Ready Health is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) — the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England. Our clinicians are NHS-trained and registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), or Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) depending on their professional discipline.

Not Ready to Commit?

Try us as a pay-as-you-go patient first.

We get it — committing to a 12-month membership is a real decision. The best way to know if Ready Health is right for you is to experience the clinic first-hand. Book a single appointment, see how we work, and upgrade to membership whenever you're ready.
