Most serious health conditions in men develop silently for years — no symptoms, no warning. A Well Man check gives you a complete picture of what's happening inside, before it becomes a problem.
The Reality of Men's Health
Men are significantly less likely to seek medical help than women — and significantly more likely to be diagnosed with serious conditions only when they've progressed. High cholesterol, high blood pressure, raised blood glucose and hormonal imbalances rarely produce obvious symptoms in their early stages.
Heart disease is the single biggest killer of men in the UK. Cholesterol and blood pressure can be dangerously elevated for years before any symptoms appear.
Around half of people with Type 2 diabetes don't know they have it. Early detection dramatically improves outcomes and can prevent serious complications.
Testosterone levels decline naturally from the early 30s. Low testosterone affects energy, mood, body composition, libido and long-term bone health — easily identified with a blood test.
A Well Man check won't make you unwell. It will tell you — clearly — if anything needs attention, giving you the best possible chance to act early.
One fixed price covers everything — comprehensive blood panel, physical measurements, cardiovascular risk assessment, hormone screening, and a full GP-led results consultation. No hidden fees, no extras.
What's Included
Our Well Man check covers every major risk area for men, delivered by a clinician who will walk you through your results and what they mean.
Who Is This For?
Whether you're in peak health or starting to notice the signs of getting older — this check is for you.
High stress, long hours and irregular habits. You know you should check in with your health — now's the time.
You train hard and eat well, but performance plateaus and fatigue linger. Hormones and nutrient levels may be the reason.
You put everyone else first. Now do this for your family — and yourself. Know you're in good shape for the years ahead.
Your 40s are when risk factors accelerate. Don't leave it to chance — annual checks become more important every year.
Fatigue, brain fog, low libido and mood changes are often driven by hormonal or metabolic changes — identifiable with a blood test.
Father had a heart attack? Diabetes in the family? Know your own risk profile before you need to.
Men are nearly twice as likely to die from preventable causes than women — not because the diseases are worse, but because they go undetected for longer. A single appointment could change that completely.
How It Works
From booking to results — the whole process is built to fit around your life.

A qualified clinician takes your blood sample and records your measurements.
Your samples are processed. Results are typically returned within 96 hours.
Your GP appointment walking you through your results, what they mean, a physical examination and a bespoke plan on what to do next.
I'd been putting this off for years — too busy, felt fine. Turns out my cholesterol and testosterone were both out of range. Two months on from my check and I'm already feeling better for knowing. Wish I'd done it sooner.

Common Questions
No. You can book directly online without any GP referral. Our clinic operates entirely privately, meaning you can access your Well Man check whenever suits you — no queues, no waiting.
For accurate blood glucose, cholesterol and lipid results, we ask that you fast for at least 8–10 hours before your appointment (water is fine). We recommend booking a morning appointment to make this easier. Full pre-appointment guidance is provided when you book.
Blood results are typically returned within 96 hours of your appointment. Your clinician will then book a GP results review appointment to walk you through everything in detail, including a physical examination and a bespoke plan on what to do next.
If any marker comes back out of range, your GP will discuss what this means and what options are available to you. This may include lifestyle advice, further testing, treatment at our clinic (such as TRT or vitamin therapy), or referral to an appropriate specialist.
Yes. The NHS Health Check is typically only available to those aged 40–74 and may involve long waits. Our Well Man check is available to men from age 30, includes a broader blood panel including hormones and prostate markers, and is available immediately with a GP consultation included.
We recommend annually for men over 40, and every 1–2 years for men in their 30s. Your clinician will advise on the right schedule based on your individual results.
One appointment. A complete picture of your health. No waiting lists, no GP referral needed. Serving men across Wigan, Chorley and Lancashire.
