Where you are right now

Two paths to starting titration with Ready Health

To begin titration, you need to have had a formal ADHD diagnosis — whether from the NHS or a private provider — that followed a regulatory structured assessment using recognised tools such as DSM-5, DIVA-5 and similar instruments.

Path A

You have a formal ADHD diagnosis (NHS or private)

We are happy to review existing diagnostic reports from the NHS or recognised private providers and continue your titration — saving you the time and cost of a fresh assessment.

  • Email your existing diagnostic report to mail@readyhealth.co.uk
  • Our clinician reviews it for clinical suitability
  • Report must follow a regulatory structured assessment (e.g. DSM-5 criteria with a structured tool such as DIVA-5)
  • If appropriate, we arrange your first titration consultation

Path B

You're already a Ready Health ADHD patient

Whether you've just been diagnosed with us, are mid-titration, or are stable and need ongoing reviews — book directly with our clinical team.

  • Continue seamlessly with the same clinical team
  • All notes, history and prescribing kept in one place
  • 20+ minute review appointments
  • Repeat prescriptions once you are stable at £49

How titration works at Ready Health

A clear, four-step clinical process

Titration is the structured process of finding the right medication and dose for you. We work carefully, monitor closely, and adjust gradually — putting safety and stability first.

1

Book & confirm

Book your titration appointment online. You'll receive a booking confirmation and a short pre-appointment questionnaire to complete before your consultation.

2

Email your assessment

If you have a diagnosis from elsewhere (NHS or private), please email a copy of your assessment report to mail@readyhealth.co.uk asking for a review to proceed. Our clinician will check it meets regulatory standards before any prescribing.

3

Initial consultation

A 20+ minute appointment online or in person. Your clinician discusses history, observations, treatment plan and starts you on a carefully chosen regimen.

4

Ongoing reviews

Regular follow-up reviews to monitor response, side effects, observations and to adjust the plan gradually until you are stable.

Safe, gradual prescribing. Adjustments are made carefully and only when clinically appropriate. Children and adolescents are titrated more slowly than adults, with extra monitoring of weight, height, sleep, appetite and cardiovascular observations. A parent or guardian must be fully involved throughout for any patient under 18.

Clear, honest pricing

Cheaper than most private providers — without compromise

Book your appointment

Ready when you are — no waiting list

Choose a time that works for you below. After booking, you'll receive a confirmation email along with a short pre-appointment questionnaire to complete before your consultation.

What every appointment includes

Comprehensive clinical care, not a rushed prescription

Each titration review is at least 20 minutes long, giving your clinician genuine time to listen, monitor and plan with you.

Response review & clinical observations

Detailed review of how you've responded, side effects and daily function — plus blood pressure, pulse and (for under-18s) growth and weight checks.

Plan adjustments

Carefully considered dose and timing changes — only when clinically appropriate and always discussed with you first.

Prescription write-up & delivery

Your private prescription written up by the clinician at no extra fee. Postage or partner-pharmacy home delivery options included.

Shared care planning

Once stable, we begin the conversation about transferring prescribing to your NHS GP under a shared care agreement.

Stabilisation & ongoing care

What "stable" means — and what happens next

A patient is considered stable once they have been on the same medication and dose for three consecutive months.

For most adults, reaching stabilisation takes around four to six months in total. Children and adolescents are titrated more slowly to ensure safe prescribing, so the journey is typically longer.

Once stable, you no longer need a full review appointment for each prescription. Repeat prescriptions are £49 and a face-to-face or video review is only requested if it's clinically needed.

Getting your medication

Two simple, secure options

Once your clinician has written your prescription, you choose how you receive it. Both options are convenient, secure and clearly explained at your appointment.

1

Partner pharmacy delivery (UK-wide)

We work with a trusted UK pharmacy that dispenses and delivers your prescribed medication directly to your home address — anywhere in the UK, typically within 24–48 hours of payment.

2

Private prescription posted to you

Your private paper prescription can be posted to your home so you can take it to a pharmacy of your choice. Postage is included in your appointment fee.

Important: Medication costs are separate from your appointment fee. The exact amount varies depending on the medication, brand and pharmacy. We are clear and transparent — your clinician will discuss likely costs with you before any prescription is issued. Ready Health does not prescribe controlled drugs, sedatives or sleeping tablets for addiction under any circumstances.

Shared care with your NHS GP

Moving on to a shared care agreement

Once you are stable, we actively support transferring prescribing onto a shared care agreement (SCA) with your NHS GP. SCAs significantly reduce your long-term costs and are how good private ADHD care should work.

How shared care works at Ready Health

Once an SCA is in place, your NHS GP issues your ongoing prescriptions on the NHS. We continue to monitor you under the terms of the agreement — typically a follow-up appointment every six months — and write to your NHS GP after each review with a report confirming continued suitability of medication and any clinical observations.

Important — please read before booking

Shared care agreements are at the sole discretion of each NHS GP practice. Some practices accept agreements from private CQC-registered providers; others currently do not. We strongly encourage you to contact your GP practice to confirm whether they will accept a shared care agreement from a private CQC-registered provider before booking and paying for this service.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions, clearly answered

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis before booking titration with Ready Health?
Yes. To begin titration with us you must already hold a recognised private ADHD diagnosis. We are happy to review reports from other private providers, provided the assessment meets recognised clinical standards such as DSM-5 criteria and includes a structured assessment like DIVA-5. Our clinician will review your report before any prescribing takes place to confirm suitability and ensure everything is clinically appropriate.
How much does private ADHD titration cost at Ready Health?
A single titration review appointment is £199. Most patients choose our three-month package of three monthly review appointments for £550, which represents the best value during the active titration phase. Once you are stable on the same medication and dose for three consecutive months, repeat prescriptions cost £49 (no appointment required unless clinically indicated). Medication costs are separate and typically range from around £20 to £150 per month depending on the medication, brand and pharmacy.
Are appointments face-to-face or online?
Both. You can attend in person at our Standish, Wigan clinic, or you can join a secure video appointment from anywhere in the UK. Many of our titration patients choose online appointments for convenience, especially during the active titration phase when reviews are monthly.
How long is each titration appointment?
Every titration review appointment is at least 20 minutes long. This gives the clinician time to review your response, check for side effects, monitor blood pressure and pulse where required, discuss next steps and update your prescription.
How long does ADHD titration usually take?
For most adults, stabilisation is reached in approximately four to six months. Children and adolescents often take longer because we deliberately use a slow and steady approach to ensure safe prescribing and to monitor growth, appetite and sleep carefully. A patient is considered stable once they have been on the same medication and dose for three consecutive months.
Is there a waiting list?
There are currently no waiting times for titration appointments at Ready Health. Once we have reviewed your diagnostic report and confirmed suitability, your initial titration consultation can usually be booked within days.
Do you support shared care with my NHS GP?
Yes. Once you are stable, we actively support transferring prescribing onto a shared care agreement (SCA) with your NHS GP. The SCA setup is £150 (one-off), and follow-up appointments are £99 (typically every six months, with a report sent to your GP after each review). Important: shared care agreements are at the sole discretion of each NHS GP practice. We strongly encourage you to contact your GP practice to confirm whether they will accept a shared care agreement from a private CQC-registered provider before booking and paying for this service.
How do I receive my prescription?
We partner with a UK pharmacy that can dispense and deliver your prescribed medication directly to your home address anywhere in the UK, typically within 24 to 48 hours of payment being received. Alternatively, your private paper prescription can be posted to your home address so you can take it to a pharmacy of your choice.
Do you titrate children and adolescents?
Yes. We offer titration for children and adolescents aged 6 and above who already hold a recognised private ADHD diagnosis. A parent or guardian must be fully involved throughout. Titration in young people is deliberately slower, with careful monitoring of weight, height, appetite, sleep, mood and cardiovascular observations.
