What is depression and anxiety counselling?
Depression and anxiety counselling is a talking therapy that gives you a safe, confidential space to understand and work through low mood, worry and emotional distress with a trained counsellor. At Ready Health in Standish, sessions are £50 per hour with our counsellor Lisa, and you can book directly online with no GP referral needed.
We support adults across Wigan, Chorley and the surrounding towns and villages, with appointments available without the long waits often found elsewhere.
How counselling can help
Depression and anxiety can affect every part of daily life — sleep, relationships, work and how you feel about yourself. Counselling gives you space to make sense of it, at your own pace.
Space to talk
A calm, private setting where you can speak openly without fear of judgement and feel genuinely listened to.
Understand the patterns
Explore the thoughts, feelings and situations that fuel low mood and worry, so they begin to feel more manageable.
Practical tools
Build coping strategies you can use in everyday life to ease anxiety, lift mood and regain a sense of control.
