Why the Hume Band V2.0

Most wearables tell you what you did today. Hume tells you where you're heading.

Fitness trackers count steps and calories. The Hume Band V2.0 is built around a harder, more useful question — is your body actually getting healthier over time? It reads the markers tied to long-term health and ageing, so you can act early rather than react late.

01

Early insights

Spot shifts in recovery, HRV and sleep that can appear well before you feel any change.

02

Long-term optimisation

See whether your daily habits are nudging your health in the right direction, week after week.

03

Continuous monitoring

Worn 24/7 with no screen to distract you — it simply measures, quietly, in the background.

04

Preventative focus

Built to support a longer, healthier life by surfacing the patterns worth a conversation with a clinician.

Key health insights

Six ways the Hume Band V2.0 reads your health.

Each insight is built from continuous sensor data and explained in plain language inside the free Hume Health app.

Biological age App screen showing biological age and days of healthy life added over time
01 — Biological age

Your real age vs your body's age

The Hume Band V2.0 estimates your biological age from patterns in sleep, recovery and stress, and updates it as your habits change — a single, honest number that reflects how you're actually living.

  • Biological age updated daily from your data
  • Pace of ageing — faster or slower than the calendar
  • Days added — see what your habits have earned you
Metabolic momentum Illustration of how the Hume Band V2.0 tracks the direction of your metabolic health
02 — Metabolic momentum

Are today's choices ageing you faster or slower?

Metabolic Momentum turns recovery, energy and stress into a live score for the direction you're trending — so a late night, a strong week of training or a stressful stretch all become visible while you can still act on them.

Metabolic capacity App screen showing metabolic capacity, the body's energy efficiency over time
03 — Metabolic capacity

Your body's internal fuel tank

Metabolic Capacity reflects how efficiently your body produces, stores and uses energy — at rest and during activity. The higher it is, the better your endurance, recovery speed and resilience as you age.

Recovery & heart App screen showing recovery efficiency and heart-rate variability trends
04 — Recovery & heart health

Know whether to push or to rest

Continuous heart rate and HRV reveal trends a one-off reading can't. Each morning you get a recovery read built from HRV, resting heart rate and overnight sleep — a simple cue for the day ahead. New in V2.0, it also tracks blood-pressure trends, so you can watch your numbers move across days and habits.

Sleep science App screen breaking sleep into deep, REM, light and awake stages
05 — Sleep analysis

Not just hours slept — sleep that counts

Beyond hours tracked, Hume analyses deep sleep, REM, sleep debt and blood oxygen — revealing how restorative your sleep truly is, and how it feeds back into your biological age.

Chronic illness signals App screen highlighting early health-risk signals from biomarker trends
06 — Chronic illness indicators

Catch the signals early

Hume scans your biomarkers for early deviations linked to cardiovascular strain, inflammation and metabolic shifts, and highlights longer-term patterns worth raising with a clinician. It's a prompt to act — never a diagnosis.

Stress & resilience

HRV-derived stress through the day, so you can see what drains you and how fast you recover.

Blood oxygen

Continuous overnight and daytime SpO₂ trends from the optical sensor.

Skin temperature

Detects shifts from your baseline that can flag illness before symptoms appear.

Pace of ageing

A single multiplier showing whether you're ageing faster or slower than the calendar.

Blood-pressure trends

New in V2.0 — follow your blood-pressure trends across days and habits (a directional signal, not a clinical cuff reading).

Activity & strain

Movement and daily strain, framed by how well your body is set up to handle it.

How it works

From quiet measurement to a clear daily plan.

Step 1

Wear it 24/7

The screen-free Band sits comfortably on your wrist and measures continuously, day and night.

Step 2

AI reads the signals

Raw sensor data is turned into meaningful, easy-to-read insights inside the app.

Step 3

Get a daily plan

Wake up to clear, personalised recommendations for recovery, sleep and energy.

Step 4

Watch the trends

Track biological age, recovery and metabolic momentum over weeks and months.

Step 5

Coaching, if you want it

Add optional AI health coaching for deeper, proactive guidance as you go.

Everything it tracks

45+ health metrics, working together.

Raw biomarkers feed the app's higher-level longevity scores — so individual readings become a single, joined-up picture of your health.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a subscription?
No. The Hume Band V2.0 is a one-time purchase and includes the full free app — recovery, sleep, heart health, biological age and metabolic scores all work without paying anything extra. An optional Premium membership (AI coaching, deeper insights) is available from around £7/month, but you never need it for your core data.
Which phones is it compatible with?
The free Hume Health app supports iPhone 8 and newer (iOS 14.0+) and Android 8.0 (Oreo) and above. The Band pairs over Bluetooth Low Energy, and the app is on both the App Store and Google Play.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 14 days on a single charge with typical use, and a full charge takes around 30 minutes. Frequent syncing or continuous high-frequency tracking can shorten this. You can't track while it's on the charger.
Is it waterproof?
The sensor is IP68-rated — dustproof and water-resistant to 1 metre for up to 2 hours under the stated conditions, which covers showers, swimming and workouts. Please follow Hume Health's current guidance before getting it wet.
What's the returns policy?
Returns are handled in line with Ready Health's standard returns policy and your statutory rights — see our Terms & Conditions, or get in touch with our UK team and we'll help you start the process.
Is there a warranty?
Yes — each Hume Band V2.0 comes with a 1-year warranty covering hardware and sensor faults. Extended cover may be available at checkout.
What happens to my data?
Your health data is encrypted and exportable, and is not sold. You can export your full data at any time. See the Hume Health and Ready Health privacy policies, linked in the footer, for full detail.
Is the Hume Band V2.0 a medical device?
No. The Hume Band V2.0 is a consumer wellness device. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Its insights are not a substitute for professional medical advice — if you have a health concern, please speak with a clinician.
