Same day blood test UK

In some cases, we might be able to offer same-day or next-day appointments to patients needing blood tests. Our experienced phlebotomists are on hand to make you feel at ease while having your blood work done, and you should be in and out within 15 minutes.

Blood typing private test UK

We also offer blood typing tests for people who want to find out what blood type they are. This is something that isn’t often offered on the NHS but can be helpful to have in case of an emergency.

Often, only people that give blood are able to find out their blood group, and not everyone is eligible to be able to donate.

The time taken to analyse the blood sample at the lab can vary depending on what needs to be checked, but most private results are back within 3-4 days.When your blood results are ready, we’ll text or email you with the results and give you the option to book a follow-up appointment with one of our clinicians. Alternatively, you could take these results to your NHS GP if you’re happy to wait for treatment.

Not all blood tests need to be requested by a doctor. In fact, if you’re using a private clinic like Ready Health, you can choose which tests you need (or ask one of our clinicians for advice in a standard appointment) and book an appointment with one of our phlebotomists.

There’s not much difference in the way private blood tests are done vs the NHS. However, there are more options available privately that might not be available from your usual doctor. Another benefit of private testing is the reduced waiting time for blood screening, meaning any abnormalities can be picked up quicker, so treatment can be started ASAP.
