Pre-employment Medical FAQ's

During your appointment, your practitioner will ask you a few questions depending on the type of work you’re going into. You might also need to undergo some physical exams like eyesight, blood tests and a blood pressure check. You can expect to go into detail about your medical history and any conditions you might have, as well as having a quick musculoskeletal assessment. You might also be required to provide a urine sample to be tested for certain conditions and traces of drugs.

As pre-employment checks aren’t often available on the NHS, people have to pay for them privately which can cost upwards of £80. At Ready Health, we charge £89 for a 30 minute appointment with one of our experienced practitioners who’ll complete a thorough examination and report for your employers.
