What Happens During a Child ADHD Assessment?
Our clinicians look at the whole picture, not just one set of symptoms.
As part of the process:
Parents complete questionnaires about behaviour at home
Teachers may be asked to complete school questionnaires
The clinician carries out a detailed developmental and behavioural assessment
This ensures the diagnosis is accurate, balanced, and clinically appropriate.
Once booked, you’ll receive:
A short pre-screening questionnaire
A secure video link (for online appointments) or clinic details (for face-to-face)

CQC-Registered ADHD Services
Ready Health Standish is fully CQC registered, with regulated activities covering the diagnosis, treatment, and prescribing of ADHD and other mental health conditions.
Medication & Titration Support (If ADHD Is Diagnosed)
If ADHD is diagnosed, we can privately initiate and manage medication where appropriate.
Medication is introduced gradually through a process called titration, helping find the safest and most effective dose for your child.
Typical titration period: 4–6 months
Titration Costs
- £199 per review appointment
- Special offer: 3 appointments for £550
Medication is prescribed either by Ready Health or via our partner pharmacy, who will arrange delivery.
💊 Medication costs usually range from £20–£135, depending on the medication and dose, and are always discussed beforehand.
GP Involvement & Shared Care
You will receive a full written diagnostic report following your child’s assessment, which can be shared with your GP. If you prefer, we can also send this directly on your behalf.
Once medication has been stabilised, we are happy to support shared-care agreements, allowing your GP to take over prescribing. Please note that acceptance of shared care is always at the GP practice’s discretion.
Shared Care Agreement letters: £150
Speaking to Your GP About Shared Care
To help improve the likelihood of approval — or at the very least to gain clarity on your GP practice’s position — we recommend asking the following questions:
- Do you accept ADHD assessments carried out by English CQC-registered clinics?
- Do you accept shared care agreements for ADHD treatment?
- How long does ADHD medication usually need to be stable before shared care is considered?
- Do you have your own Shared Care Agreement form?
If your GP confirms they have their own form, please request a copy and email it to Mail@readyhealth.co.uk after booking your Shared Care appointment.
