Background
Expertise in Women’s Hormonal Health, Delivered with Understanding
Dr Zobia Younes is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner with a special interest in women’s health and menopause, and a strong commitment to holistic, person-centred care. Her clinical practice focuses on complex hormonal presentations where physical health, mental wellbeing, life stage and personal circumstance intersect.
Experience
Dr Zobia has a special interest in perimenopause and menopause, premenstrual dysphoric disorder and premenstrual syndrome, and the management of menopausal symptoms in women with significant co-morbidities.
She leads dedicated hormone replacement therapy clinics, caring for women whose previous regimens have failed to deliver relief, women in whom standard therapy is contraindicated, and those presenting with complex or overlapping symptom profiles that resist straightforward categorisation. She also assesses and prescribes testosterone therapy for women whose symptoms remain disabling despite optimised hormone replacement therapy.

A committed traveller, she ultimately settled in the United Kingdom, where several years in out-of-hours and primary care exposed her to an exceptionally broad patient cohort and developed her clinical confidence across undifferentiated presentations.
She went on to develop a special interest in women’s health, completing the British Menopause Society Management of the Menopause certificate and undertaking further advanced training with the BMS.
Research Interest
Dr Zobia is particularly interested in the profound influence of hormonal health on mood, cognition, energy and emotional resilience, and in ensuring women are heard, believed and properly investigated rather than reassured and dismissed.

Beyond the Consulting Room
Outside of clinical practice, Dr Zobia is a keen renovator, DIY hobbyist, a lifelong reader and an enthusiastic traveller. These pursuits are not incidental to her work: cultivating patience in her projects, curiosity on the page and perspective abroad has given her a well-balanced outlook and a genuine appreciation of how varied and layered women’s lives can be. Above all, she is an exceptional listener — unhurried, attentive and interested in the whole story, because in women’s health the detail that matters most is often the one a patient has never been given the time to mention.
